Text Collection to Combobox Options

Overview

This action converts a collection of text values into a format that can populate the options in the Avonni Combobox component. This makes it easy to dynamically create dropdown lists within your flows.

How it Helps

Imagine a flow where users must select a country from a list. Instead of manually creating the list of countries in the combobox, this action allows you to use a text collection containing country names to populate the dropdown options automatically.

When to Use It

This action is ideal for:

  • Dynamically populating combobox options.

  • Creating dropdown lists from data stored in text collections.

  • Simplifying the configuration of combobox components.

  • Avoiding manual entry of combobox options.

Example

To create a dropdown list of product categories:

  1. Create a Text Collection: Create a Text Collection variable containing a list of product categories (e.g., "Electronics," "Clothing," "Books," etc.).

  2. Configure the Action: Select the product category collection as the "Source Collection."

  3. Connect to Combobox: In your flow, connect the output of this action to the "Options" attribute of a combobox component.

Key Considerations

  • Source Collection: Ensure you have a valid collection of text values you want to use as combobox options.

  • Combobox Component: This action is specifically designed to work with combobox components. Make sure you have a combobox component in your flow where you want to display the options
